Job Description
Food preparation
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and cleaning
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and meet quality standards
- Approve and polish dishes before they are served
Menu creation Plan and design menus, Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations, and Prepare special menus for events.
Kitchen staff Supervise kitchen staff, Delegate tasks and resolve issues, Listen to any concerns brought up by the kitchen staff, Provide constructive feedback, and Show appreciation to the staff.
Kitchen logistics
- Maintain food quality
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and health and safety regulations
- Keep a detailed inventory to ensure supplies are replenished on a regular basis
- Ensure all food and labor cost goals are met
Other responsibilities
- Liaise with the general manager to ensure operations run smoothly
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Resolve internal and external conflicts
